Carrboro Day 2008 couldn't have been a more beautiful day, with weather in the 70's and loads of great music and fun. We celebrated this glorious day with music featuring the Village Band, Oscar Begat, Password to Larkspur, the Obies, Stormfront, Gigi Dover and Big Love, and Grimball & Long. There were fire engine and firehouse tours, a public works display, an APS Drill Team performance, poetry, crafts for kids, games, Carrboro history, magic from Josh Lozoff, a visit from Mother Goose, a free plant exchange, the book and bake sale to raise funds for the Carrboro Branch Library, and our Community Art Project exhibit inside Town Hall. |
