Weaver St. Market's Music on the Lawn
Tim Smith Band on the lawn at Weaver St. Market during an After Hours performance June 26, 2008.

Weaver Street Market's Jazz and More Sunday Brunch happens Sundays from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m on the lawn. The free jazz series gives us lots of great music and a wonderful place to gather for food, drink, friends, and fun. Grab a friend, bring a chair, and enjoy a leisurely brunch listening to an eclectic assortment of local bands. The expanded music selection includes Blues, Folk, Popabilly, instrumental, and Andean. An a la carte breakfast is available for purchase inside Weaver Street Market.

Also on the lawn is one of the hottest events in Carrboro, Weaver Street Market’s After Hours on Thursday nights from 6 to 8 pm. Hundreds of people gather to picnic under the oaks and taste a few beers or a new wine. Favorite local bands create an intimate musical atmosphere in the heart of the crowd. Kids run about getting lost, found, under foot or dancing in front of the band. The music is free. Beer, wine and grilled food is available for purchase outside, with the proceeds going to local nonprofit organizations.
